LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
Where UK, EU or similar data protection law applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent, for marketing emails and for all non-essential cookies and tracking, including analytics and advertising pixels. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests, for operating and securing the website, understanding audience engagement, and planning our tours and productions, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
- Legal obligation, for meeting tax, accounting and other legal requirements.
- Performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request, for handling your enquiries and supporting your attendance at an event.
COOKIES AND WEBSITE ANALYTICS
This site uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site are always active. All other cookies and tracking, including the tools listed below, are switched off by default and load only after you give consent through our cookie banner:
- Google Analytics 4, via Google Tag Manager, for website analytics
- the Meta (Facebook) pixel, for advertising measurement and audience building
- Mailchimp, for email sign-up and email engagement analytics
When you first visit, the banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or choose which categories to allow, and nothing non-essential runs until you make a choice. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer, and you can also control cookies through your browser settings. We honour recognised browser-based opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control, where required.
TICKETING AND THIRD PARTIES
Tickets for our shows are sold through third-party ticketing providers, principally Ticketmaster, and through the box offices of the venues we perform in. Those providers and venues operate under their own terms of use and privacy policies, and may act as independent data controllers of the information you give them.
A Taste of Ireland and Pace Live are not the merchant of record for ticket transactions. We do not collect or store credit card or payment information through this website. We may receive limited information from ticketing providers or venues, such as name, email and ticket details, to help us communicate event updates and coordinate attendance. Please review the privacy policy of the ticketing provider or venue you purchase from.
EMAIL SIGN-UP AND NEWSLETTER
If you sign up for our mailing list, we use Mailchimp to manage and send those communications. We send marketing emails only to people who have given consent or where otherwise permitted by law. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time using that link or by contacting us at the address below.
SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may share personal information with trusted service providers where needed to run the site and deliver our shows, including:
- Ticketing providers and presenting venues
- Email marketing providers (Mailchimp)
- Website hosting services
- Analytics and advertising tools (Google, Meta)
- Professional advisers or legal authorities where required by law
We do not sell personal information.
INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Because our operating company is based in Australia and we operate internationally, personal information collected from visitors in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and elsewhere may be transferred to and processed in Australia and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required by law, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures, to protect that information during international transfers.
DATA RETENTION
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes set out in this policy:
- Mailing list and marketing data: while you are subscribed and for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, unless you unsubscribe sooner
- Enquiry and customer-service records: up to 24 months after your enquiry is resolved
- Website analytics data: in line with the standard retention setting in Google Analytics 4, currently 14 months
- Information we are required to keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons: for the period required by law
After these periods, information is securely deleted or anonymised. [Pace Live can adjust these periods to match internal practice.]
YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, withdraw consent for marketing, or object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
UNITED STATES STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on the US state you live in, you may have rights under your state’s privacy law. California has the CCPA and CPRA, and a growing number of other states, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and Montana, have comparable laws. Depending on your state, these rights can include:
- the right to know and access the personal information we hold about you
- the right to correct or delete it
- the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- the right to opt out of targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. Some of our advertising tools, such as the Meta pixel, may involve sharing information for targeted advertising as defined under certain state laws. You can opt out by rejecting non-essential cookies in our banner, by using the cookie settings link in the footer, or by enabling a recognised browser opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control, which we treat as a valid opt-out where required. To make any other request, contact us using the details below.
CANADIAN RESIDENTS (PIPEDA AND CASL)
For individuals in Canada, personal information is handled in accordance with PIPEDA and other applicable Canadian privacy laws. In line with CASL, marketing emails are sent only with express consent or where otherwise permitted, and always include an unsubscribe option.

This site may link to third-party websites or services, including ticketing providers and venues. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and encourage you to review their policies.
GOVERNING LAW
This policy is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. This does not remove any data protection or consumer rights you have under the laws of the country or state in which you live, and nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be waived under those laws.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
